When meeting with Sarah and Iara I cannot help but be energized by their passion and zest for their work and for making a difference in the lives of people that need their story told. They take charge of their destiny in a world of uncertainty and do it with disregard for the “status quo”, but attack their video projects with playful exuberance and a commitment to help someone by making others aware of their situation.”
Working with Etc. Pictures on their short documentary ‘Kalyse’ was one of the best things we’ve done in Syracuse. I am so glad they chose to stay in town. These ladies are making a profound impact on local kids’ lives.
I already miss the kids and I didn’t think I would but I do. On set, it was similar to a summer camp in the sense that people got very close very quickly. A lot of friendships that were formed are ones that will last.
